Useful Tank Sizing Formulas
    The following formulas are useful in determining the dimensions of a structure, based upon the user's needs (dimensions and feet).
Volume of a cylinder is 5.88D²L gallons.
Approximate volume of dished end is 0.49D³ gallons.
Volume of a 45º cone is 0.98D³ gallons.

Volume of a hemisphere is 1.96D³ gallons.
One gallon of water weighs 8.34 pounds.

One cubic foot of water weighs 62.4 pounds.
Multiply cubic feet by 7.48 to get gallons.

Multiply gallons by 0.134 to get cubic feet.
